Shift Hours:

Monday-Friday 10:00pm-6:30am or complete

This role is in support of Cencora's distribution services in the US operating through our AmerisourceBergen business.

Responsibilities

Under general supervision of the Systems Manager, support the effective use and functionality of the automated equipment within a fully automated Distribution Center, while mentoring technician associates.

Diagnose electrical controls issues to a component level, including capacitors, inductors, diodes, LED, and transistors; diagnosis will include pressure transducers, flow meters, photo voltaic sensors, bridge and full wave rectifiers.

Program basic changes to PLC controllers, including modifying timing, adding alarms and logic for additional inputs or outputs, and properly wiring additional devices to PLCs and other controllers.

Troubleshoot communication issues with devices connected to the MHE network or other networks (e.g., Profibus); work with device IP addressing, network switches; operate and diagnose chill water plant systems including chillers, cooling towers, boilers, pumps, BAS, HVAC, and water treatment.

Ensure effective preventative maintenance plans and schedules for all facility equipment and systems.

Diagnose Materials Handling Equipment and Automated Picking System-related error conditions in the Distribution Center and perform repairs as needed.

Oversee maintenance, modifications, and/or system upgrades of Materials Handling Equipment and Automated Picking System controls.

Assess the efficiency of materials handling equipment and automated picking systems and define necessary modifications.

Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks to ensure continued productivity with warehouse operations.

Maintain CMMS/EAM system for repairs required and performed on equipment in the Distribution Center.

Manage the inventory of spare parts.

Willingness to work extended hours as needed to meet productivity goals.

Performs related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: Requires some technical vocational training, or equivalent combination of experience and education. Normally requires at least two (2) years related and progressively responsible experience; strong electrical background preferred.

Skills and knowledge include: strong technical and operational knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic equipment and systems; ability to read CAD layouts, IPB diagrams, and electrical circuitry diagrams; diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues (up to 600 volts, AC/DC motors, PLCs, HMIs, and related components).

Experience with PLCs, HLMI, and MHE software (e.g., RSLogix, Sort Director, GSMi, IPoint, Flex Sort) is preferred; ability to load programs or configure PLCs, HMIs, and scanners.

Strong computer and software aptitude (MS Office) and familiarity with networking concepts (IP addressing, switches).

Ability to mentor other technicians and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Ability to operate and diagnose all chill water plant systems including chillers, cooling towers, boilers, pumps, BAS, HVAC, and water treatment.
