We are seeking a skilled
Electrical Controls Technician
to support and execute the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical control systems for industrial and commercial facilities. This individual will work closely with engineers, project managers, and field teams to ensure high-quality and timely execution of automated and motor control systems, building controls, PLCs, VFDs, and instrumentation.
Key Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, motor controls, sensors, and instrumentation
Perform control panel terminations, field wiring, conduit installation, and cable pulling according to electrical and control schematics
Support commissioning and startup of systems for commercial and industrial projects
Read and interpret blueprints, electrical diagrams, schematics, and control drawings
Interface with building automation systems and various industrial control platforms
Perform diagnostics and root cause analysis on equipment failures and system malfunctions
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure scope accuracy and timely delivery
Complete required documentation, redlines, and as‑builts for turnover packages
Maintain a safe and clean job site, and adhere to all safety and electrical codes
Qualifications
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in electrical controls or industrial automation
Experience with PLC platforms (Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc.), HMIs, and VFDs
Strong understanding of NEC and local electrical codes
Ability to read/interpret control diagrams, wiring schematics, and ladder logic
Knowledge of instrumentation and low-voltage controls
Valid Colorado Journeyman or Wireman license
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
Must possess a valid Colorado driver’s license and pass background/drug screening
Experience
Familiarity with Modbus, BACnet, Ethernet/IP protocols
Experience with BAS, SCADA, or lighting control systems
OSHA 10/30 certification
