MacroAir Fans
1 day ago Be among the first 25 applicants
At
MacroAir
, we invented the
High Volume, Low Speed (HVLS)
fan — and we’re still redefining what’s possible in air movement technology.
We’re looking for a
hands‑on Electrical Controls Engineer
to own the design, programming, and integration of the control systems that power our next generation of MacroAir fans. This is an engineering role — not maintenance — where you’ll build, debug, and refine real control logic that drives innovation, performance, and reliability.
What You’ll Do
Design, program, and maintain
C++ applications for HMIs and control interfaces using Modbus, BACnet, and related industrial protocols.
Integrate and configure
VFDs, drives, and motor controllers to achieve precise, stable fan performance.
Develop and validate
control architectures that ensure safety, reliability, and scalability across product lines.
Generate and maintain
wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, configuration standards, and technical documentation.
Lead troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis
for system‑level control or electrical issues during development and field support.
Collaborate cross‑functionally
with firmware, software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to ensure system integrity and product consistency.
Participate in validation and compliance testing
for new and existing products.
Research emerging technologies
in motor control, automation, and communication protocols to strengthen MacroAir’s product leadership.
What You’ll Bring (Required Skills) You won’t be successful in this role without:
Proficiency in
C++
for control interfaces or embedded systems.
Hands‑on experience
with
Modbus ,
BACnet , and industrial automation networks.
Proven ability to
integrate and configure VFDs , motor controllers, and related hardware.
Ability to
read and produce wiring diagrams and electrical schematics.
Strong
diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
for control and electrical systems.
Clear, disciplined
technical documentation and communication habits.
Bachelor’s degree in
Electrical, Controls, or related Engineering field
(or equivalent practical experience).
Familiarity with
HVAC, building automation,
or
industrial controls
systems.
Understanding of
TCP/IP, serial communication , and tools like oscilloscopes or logic analyzers.
Experience in
product validation, compliance testing , or
embedded system debugging.
Willingness to
travel occasionally
for testing, validation, or field support (typically less than 10%).
You’ll be part of the
team that invented the HVLS industry — and is still shaping its future.
You’ll work in a
flat, high‑accountability environment
where ideas turn into product fast.
You’ll collaborate directly with mechanical, firmware, and product teams to ship real innovation — not just maintain old systems.
