The Jr. Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for providing support to daily operations, minimizing production downtime, and solving basic system issues by identifying failures and reporting them to the right stakeholders. Excellent attendance and the ability to collaborate with multiple departments, including engineering, quality, and suppliers, are essential. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required to establish effective working relationships inside and outside the company. Responsibilities
Day-to-day coverage of the production line, including rapid response to out-of-control processes Investigate and identify defects reported by the assembly line Perform initial assessment for issues reported in the line (e.g., part confirmation, assembly/disassembly validation, part swap) Support the implementation of process changes to improve quality and flow (PCRs) Validate and confirm the effectiveness of every process change in the line Provide inputs for process enhancements and contribute to continuous improvements (error proofing, fixtures, tools, etc.) Monitor real-time quality indicators of assigned areas and provide feedback to the workstation Create and maintain quality alerts for Critical To Quality processes and recurring quality issues Perform quick analyses using engineering tools (e.g., MES, BOP Extract, engineering drawing review) after training Modify/update work instructions for the line using relevant engineering software, prioritizing safety, quality, and delivery Qualifications
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent Minimum one (1) year of experience in automotive or manufacturing Hands-on troubleshooting skills for resolving assembly issues or process inefficiencies Proficiency with common workplace software (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Detail-oriented with strong record-keeping and organizational skills Ability to use measurement devices such as calipers, flush gauge, gap gauge, and ruler Availability for occasional off-hours calls Excellent written and verbal communication skills Physical Requirements
