Conduct portions of daily site inspections of building construction work, document discrepancies, code violations, improper materials or techniques, monitor schedules, identify and mitigate project slippage, and coordinate project phasing. Perform engineering analysis and develop design for new work and improvements, including preparation of complete plans and specifications. Provide technical oversight and evaluation across engineering disciplines as they pertain to project work. Submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports detailing work completed, work in progress with estimated completion dates, scheduled work, and outstanding items. Utilize computerized management systems, process information requests, draft contract modifications, maintain inventory of materials, supplies and equipment, and monitor usage. Qualifications and Experience

Experience reviewing design and construction plans against existing site conditions. Experience resolving unforeseen site and design conditions and proposing cost-effective technical solutions. Experience inspecting medical and administrative service structures to identify deficiencies and condition issues. Ten (10) years of experience practicing electrical engineering and ten (10) years of experience inspecting electrical construction. Ability to quickly understand and master local state and federal jurisdiction requirements relevant to the project. Strong communication, language, and software skills with the ability to use various software programs to monitor, update, and produce work products. Required Skills and Knowledge

Ability to survey existing conditions and confer with medical center personnel to determine project scope, phasing, and design requirements. Ability to provide cost estimates and take-offs for contract modifications. Ability to determine compliance of workmanship, materials, equipment and installed work with contract requirements and standards. Assess project impact on the medical center based on risk assessment affecting patient care. Independently coordinate project staff (architects, engineers, technicians, draftsmen) and review final contract documents. Knowledge of governmental contracting procedures, principles, guidelines, and public law. Provide senior leadership and mentorship. Education

Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution, with six (6) years of experience, or ten (10) years of electrical engineering experience with a Bachelors Degree. In lieu of education, fifteen (15) years of electrical engineering experience may apply. OSHA 30 Training Completion. Benefits
