Summary Description

Performs assembly of wind turbine power transmissions and their subassemblies. Works from blueprints, parts lists, and assembly cards. Uses parts washers, freezers, ovens, cranes, forklift trucks, hand and power tools. Will shim and final assemble gear units. Capable of working independently, with other assemblers, and supervising lower-grade assemblers. May perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor. Necessary Prior Experience

Candidates must have prior experience relevant to this role, either within the company or in a similar position elsewhere. The experience should include: Basic Knowledge of Lean principles General shop safety training Proficiency with shop computers Use of parts washers Crane operation and safety Proper use of chains, shackles, and straps Operation and use of ovens or induction heaters Ability to be trained by peers Use of hydraulic torque wrenches including understanding torque specifications Proper application of Loctite (sealants) Use of measuring equipment (micrometers, vernier calipers, etc.) Knowledge of bearings Educational Requirements

Equivalent to a high school diploma or GED, with 0-2 years of relevant industry experience. The candidate should possess a combination of formal education, training, and experience to demonstrate the necessary knowledge and skills. Contact Person:
