Engineering This is a structured hybrid position which requires working in our Owatonna, MN facility: Monday through Thursday. Friday is a home office workday. Therefore, candidates must reside within reasonable drivable distance to the facility. About the Role

As a Project Engineering Supervisor, you will contribute to Wenger Corporation's strategy to provide an exceptional customer experience by ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, while providing guidance and mentorship to team members to help them develop their skills and improve their performance.

Responsibilities

Direct supervision over a team of engineers and designers; administer reviews and compensation as defined by corporate policy; lead goal setting, performance management and continuous learning for the assigned team of engineering resources Review and analyze incoming projects; determine scope of work, resources needed to execute and assign projects to team members Supervise the team to meet customer requirements of product fit and function in coordination with Product Managers, Design and Manufacturing Engineers, Project Managers and Production Managers Supervise the team to meet performance, cost, and quality goals Review individual and team metrics and reports to management Maintain capacity schedule for the team, report progress and escalate issues to management Develop familiarity with documented company processes and aid in the development and contribution to the company infrastructure through activities such as new products and process development Lead and oversee the onboarding and training of new engineering staff, ensuring proficiency in product design and application standards Partner cross-functionally with departmental leadership to streamline project execution from design through manufacturing and installation, maximizing customer satisfaction Champion quality assurance and yield optimization across the team, upholding rigorous standards of excellence in all deliverables Proactively identify process and product non-conformities; initiate and manage Corrective Action Reports (CARs) and Supplier Action Reports (SARs) to resolve issues effectively Spearhead continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and reducing lead times Contribute strategic input to the annual budgeting process, aligning team goals with broader organizational priorities Qualifications

At a minimum, you'll need: Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related Engineering field; or 5 years of equivalent experience in progressive product layout and design Knowledge of the products and processes used in the industry with emphasis on new technological developments Demonstrated commitment to effective team leadership through coordination and evaluation of team metrics with recommendations for changes required to improve overall results Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, formulate design solutions and coordinate the team's execution of project tasks under time and financial constraints It'd be great if you also have: Previous experience and training in AutoCAD Previous experience and training in 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks or Creo Previous experience scoping and assigning projects, creating, and executing approval-level reviews of project work What you will do on a typical day
