Metal Arts, Architectural and Ornamental Metal Fabricator
to join our team in Chicago, IL. The candidate will be responsible for the fabrication, mechanical and/or welded assembly of parts from steel, stainless, bronze and aluminum. Requirements
3–5 years of verifiable experience Ability to work both independently and as a team member; ask questions and receive direction Good communication skills and command of the English language Experience working in a manufacturing shop environment and meeting all safety standards Capability to work in a fast‑paced environment and meet production goals Read and interpret blueprints Follow safety protocols using hand tools, power tools, material handling equipment, and other equipment Fabricate and assemble parts from steel, stainless, bronze, aluminum, wood, plastics, and glass Woodworking experience a plus Set up welding jigs and fixtures Create 3‑dimensional structures Proficient in MIG and/or TIG welding practices, handling welding gases and oxy‑acetylene setup Ability to solder, braze, grind, sand, finish and maintain squareness of finished parts Paint / patina finishing experience Follow quality standards of materials and finishes Field installation experience Maintain a clean, safe environment Ability to safely lift and carry 45 lbs and lift 25‑ft‑high loads if necessary Pass pre‑employment drug/alcohol screen and criminal background check Available for overtime, weekend, and holidays Reliable transportation Demonstrate a great attitude If you are interested in applying for this job, please press the Apply button and follow the application process.
