Competition Cheer Team - Head Coach The Head Competition Cheerleading Coach's primary responsibility is to develop and oversee the competition cheerleading program, including educating, managing, and supervising enrolled participants.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement training programs to improve athletes' skills and performance across all experience levels.

Provide guidance and feedback to help athletes reach their full potential.

Oversee team selection, discipline, and morale to maintain a cohesive team environment.

Monitor the physical and mental well-being of athletes.

Coordinate logistics with athletes, parents, and the Recreation and Sports Coordinator.

Scout and recruit talented athletes from Delano High School.

Ensure compliance with MCCA, USA Cheer, and NFHS rules and regulations.

Manage team equipment, including uniforms.

Choreograph and teach cheerleading routines.

Ensure safety during all cheerleading activities.

Develop and manage the program's budget, including expenses and fundraisers.

Requirements

Proven experience as a cheerleading coach.

Knowledge of competitive cheerleading scoring rubrics and rules is preferred.

Experience competing as a cheerleader is preferred.

Stunting certification from USA Cheer or willingness to obtain it.

Ability to collaborate with the coaching staff to meet program needs.

Motivation for ongoing professional development.

Stipend Range: $1,500 - $2,000 based on enrollment
