Join Twilio as the Lead Operator, Global Security Operations Center (GSOC). You will help inform our security posture to enable a safe working environment by identifying potential disruptions and streamlining emergency response and notification to minimize impact to people, assets, operations, or brand reputation. About the job

This role maintains broad situational awareness of internal and external physical events that could impact employee safety or threaten business assets or operations across Twilio’s global footprint. Lead GSOC Operators monitor data sources including internal access control systems, external incident aggregators, travel safety applications, and general open source reporting. You will serve as the primary contact for employees with physical safety and security questions or concerns. When incidents occur, you may dispatch security resources, escalate to crisis management, send broad communications to Twilio employees, or execute mass notifications. Responsibilities

Monitoring and Surveillance

Utilize physical security asset monitoring and surveillance systems to detect potential unauthorized access, suspicious activity, or other security incidents Monitor open-source threat intelligence and internal SaaS tools to maintain situational awareness of events with potential impact to operations

Security Operations Support

Support access control and visitor management processes Manage security-related calls for service and provide guidance to employees, vendors, and guests Maintain awareness of business travelers and personnel accessing Twilio facilities Partner with local site security teams to escalate and dispatch resources for incident and alarm response Review travel requests to elevated risk locations and cross-reference live itineraries with external incidents

Perform the first point of incident intake across emergencies (medical, natural disasters, fire/evacuation, travel disruptions, security incidents) and assess/triage events Dispatch and coordinate response with emergency personnel; communicate updates to large audiences as warranted Maintain real-time incident documentation for reporting and analysis Perform Life-Safety checks for Twilio areas impacted by life-threatening conditions Participate in post-incident reviews to document and implement corrective actions Operational Excellence

Maintain understanding of security and emergency SOPs Advise and train others in SOP development and implementation Use critical thinking to analyse situations and implement solutions Support large projects to improve GSOC capabilities

Required: 3+ years of GSOC experience 1+ years in a lead operator role, or equivalent Experience with physical safety/security technology, systems (ACS, IDS, VSS, VMS), travel safety, and mass notification tools Experience with OSINT tools Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Ability to follow SOPs and playbooks Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment Calm, professional communication in high-stress situations Clear verbal and written communication Willingness to work non-standard shift hours, including overlap with global locations, weekends, and holidays Comfortable with a high-tech work environment Eager to learn new tools and processes Ability to work independently and as part of a team Proficiency in Google Suite Additional language proficiency Variable 8–10 hour shifts Must be flexible to work holidays, weekends, and occasional overtime Location

This role will be remote, but is not eligible to be hired in CA, CT, NJ, NY, PA, WA. Travel

Approx. 10% travel to participate in project or team in-person meetings. What We Offer

Pay ranges vary by location and are provided for reference. This role may participate in Twilio’s corporate bonus plan. Benefits include health care, 401(k), paid time off, and parental leave.
