Overview
Business Unit Reporting Analyst role focused on tracking portfolio loan performance, maintaining trackers for portfolio management, and solving for complex business-line needs. The Analyst works with underwriting, portfolio management, and credit administration on initiatives that identify credit risk and aims to maximize transparency of the portfolio health while ensuring compliance with Bank policies and applicable regulations. Responsibilities
Work closely with the NBF Team Leads, prioritize portfolio maintenance, new initiatives, and advise on process implementation and actionable solutions for portfolio-wide insights. Analyze and dissect portfolio concentrations through asset classes, relationships, project assets, geographic exposure, construction vs. C&I, and portfolio/pipeline outlook. Coordinate with external groups within the Bank as a subject matter expert on product offerings within the business line. Handle portfolio management upkeep tasks related to data quality of loans, projects, deposits, and ratios. Monitor KRIs and KPIs across asset classes. Gather, prepare, and concisely summarize findings of at-risk assets in a presenting format to credit risk partners for quarterly portfolio review (QPR) meetings. Support portfolio analysis initiatives including quarterly portfolio reviews of key asset classes, weekly forecasting and variance analysis, asset class tracking through data collection and consolidation that meet bank policy and portfolio management standards. Facilitate data access to streamline credit actions within the NBF group and maintain key reporting tools and data steward responsibilities. Create visualization tools that communicate consolidated portfolio health and update quarterly for newly underwritten loans. Engage in ad-hoc duties with the underwriting and portfolio management teams related to access to BI software and tracking tools, data collection efforts through borrower relationships, and collaboration with other groups to roll out new credit monitoring tools and initiatives. What You'll Need
4+ years of related experience in CRE or Homebuilder Portfolio Management or similar field. Bachelor's degree in related field required. Intermediate knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services. Intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices. Intermediate experience in financial statement analysis with strong portfolio management skills and ability to identify credit concerns and escalate to the Primary PM, Team Lead, or Managing Director as needed. Intermediate knowledge of MS Office tools, primarily MS Excel. Some VBA and SQL coding experience preferred. Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills. Benefits You’ll Love
