H&R Block . You’ll provide leadership over three H&R Block tax offices, guiding customer-centric teams to accelerate seasonal tax business.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership across three tax offices and deliver an outstanding client experience.

Lead on development and performance of associates; manage office staffing, operations, and logistics with support from Associate Team Leaders.

Partner with the District General Manager to create and execute office growth plans and client growth targets, including developing local partnerships and managing office community involvement.

Assist the DGM in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions.

Conduct timely performance reviews and address performance concerns in collaboration with the Associate Relations Center.

Foster an engaging team environment across all offices through training and coaching recognition of outstanding contributions.

Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates.

Create associate work schedules across all offices and ensure accurate timekeeping and labor management.

Travel between offices as required.

Prepare tax returns as needed, following completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment.

Note: This role is not remote and requires in-person work in the office.

Requirements / What you'll bring

People management experience with a track record of growing and developing associates.

Ability to execute growth plans and lead toward a growth-oriented culture.

Strong decision-making and judgment skills; comfortable in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-centric mindset.

Computer proficiency with MS Office.

Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or high school diploma with equivalent experience.

Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if preparing tax returns).

Preferred

Multi-unit people management experience in retail, restaurant, banking, or related industries.

Schedule and Work Location You will start with a flexible part-time schedule in the fall to prepare for the busy tax season. From January to April, you will transition to full-time, including evening and weekend hours as needed. This role is in-person and not remote.

Pay Pay Range: $15.00 - $40.00/hr. Local minimum wage laws apply. Individual pay decisions depend on factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and location. Some associates may participate in incentive plans; eligible benefits include medical and prescription drug coverage, 401(k), and other programs.
