Follow student Behavior Intervention Plans and Emergency Healthcare Plans. Provide support to students with personal cares (toileting, dressing, feeding) as needed. Work with students with various disabilities. Observe and document students' academic and social behaviors. Collect data on student progress accurately and consistently. Provide feedback on student progress to teachers and related staff. Use iPads and communication devices for non-verbal students. Support de-escalation techniques and restrictive procedures (training provided). Supervise students in various settings, including before, during, and after school. Assist students on the floor, at meal times, recess, and field trips. Monitor and supervise students in the lunchroom and playground in all weather conditions. Model appropriate language and social behaviors. Build strong relationships with children from diverse backgrounds and neuro-types. Maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively with staff. Demonstrate good organizational skills and punctuality. Minimum Requirements:
60 college semester credits and/or a two-year degree from an accredited college or university. Include official transcripts with application. Alternatively, complete the Paraeducator Assessments with passing scores of 65% and 70% in Minnesota. High School diploma or GED. Experience with secondary-age students. Preferred computer skills. Flexible, team-oriented, and positive attitude. Ability to correct student behavior fairly and consistently. Belief in all students' potential for high learning levels. Strong interpersonal skills and integrity. Additional Information:
