Job Description and Duties Under the general supervision of the Business Services Manager (Staff Services Manager I), incumbent performs complex professional level administrative work that pertains to the District Procurement and Property Control Analyst. Incumbent serves as the District Procurement Analyst/Property Control Officer and will ensure all the necessary procurement methods, policies and procedures are adhered to. The incumbent will ensure all State property is tagged and inventoried as per established guidelines.

Working Conditions The incumbent will primarily work at the District 9 Office in a climate‑controlled environment under artificial lighting. Frequent travel within the District will be required to conduct on‑site property inventories. When conducting on‑site inventories, incumbent may be subject to dust, dirt, varying temperatures, and uneven walking surfaces. Occasional travel within the State will be required to attend various meetings, training, conferences or seminars.

This position may be eligible for telework. The amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and based on Caltrans’s evolving telework policy. Caltrans supports telework, recognizing that in‑person attendance may be required based on operational needs. Employees are expected to be able to report to their worksites with minimum notification if an urgent need arises. The selected candidate will be required to commute to the headquartered location as needed to meet operational needs. Business travel may be required, and reimbursement considers an employee’s designated headquartered location, primary residence, and may be subject to CalHR regulations or applicable bargaining unit contract provisions. All commute expenses to the headquartered location will be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
