The Development Coordinator is responsible for implementing development activities such as fundraising events, two appeals, and the annual silent auction. This employee will also assume responsibilities associated with relationship building, marketing and communications, and database management. REPORTS TO:

Senior Director of Development Primary Responsibilities

Help to lead the Silent Auction related to the Fall Appeal Serve as the point of contact and logistics manager for certain fundraising events Work with the Development team in coordinating direct mail appeals Assist with Corporate Sponsorships for annual and special fundraising events Assist with Memorial and Dedications program engagement and tracking Cultivate relationships, and prepare background reports on, prospective donors Manage the constituent database using Salesforce-based CRM program Process donations, generate and track tax-receipts, and assist with acknowledgement letters Complete matching gift forms, donor advised funds, stock transfers, bequest forms and protocols Qualifications

The successful employee must be proficient at using standard Microsoft Office applications – including Excel and Word, as well as Adobe, Google, and a donor-based CRM. Experience preferred in raising funds from diverse sources, including major gifts from individuals, foundations, and corporations. Understanding and belief in the organization’s mission, vision and values Attention to detail, with an ability to take a proactive approach to managing a time-sensitive workload Good sense of accountability and dependability Responsiveness to direction and openness to feedback Strong and sound judgment, professional, and a positive attitude Creative, practical problem-solving skills Flexible schedule and a willingness to work some evenings and weekends High ethical standards, particularly in working with confidential or sensitive information Compensation & Work Schedule

$18 – $20 an hour, 32 – 40 hours per week. Application
