Foreman - Earthwork/Pipework

for our Excavation Department, based out of South Plainfield, NJ. Responsibilities

Oversee, manage, and direct Operators and Laborers assigned to the crew, including performing work and assisting crew members. Operate heavy equipment as needed to complete tasks. Review and understand plans, details, and specifications. Understand production expectations and their impact on project schedule and budget. Coordinate with Project Supervisor to ensure manpower, equipment, and tools are available onsite as required. Coordinate with Site Supervisor to ensure materials are available to meet project schedules. Manage and track materials, including receipt, counting, checking deliveries, and reporting variances. Prepare daily reports including production notes, issues, inspections, equipment usage, manpower, and costs. Manage equipment and tools assigned, report issues, and coordinate repairs. Prepare payroll reports for crew members. Ensure jobsite safety, enforce PPE use, and report accidents immediately. Coordinate activities with other crews, trades, and the Building Construction Team. Prepare as-built drawings and field notes. Inspect work quality and workmanship. Respect the work of others and communicate schedules effectively. Report employee absences and ensure equipment is maintained and staged properly. Attend meetings as required and assist with snow removal and salting operations. Qualifications

Extensive knowledge of site improvements, including earthwork, sewer, drainage, water, concrete, paving, and utility installation. Experience in Multi-Family, Commercial, or Industrial Construction projects. Ability to read and interpret project documents such as drawings, specifications, RFIs, and survey stakes. Knowledge of heavy equipment operation and maintenance. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
