Project Manager
– Upstate Medical University is looking for a Project Manager to join their dynamic team of expert professionals. The Project Manager will provide leadership for planning, design, construction, and administration of building projects to modify the University's infrastructure. The Project Manager (PM) guides projects to support the hospital, and the needs for learning, discovery, and engagement. Throughout the project the PM balances competing demands and mitigates risks to ensure the delivery of an acceptable product to Upstate Medical University and stakeholders. The PM focuses on management of the budget, scope, schedule, communications and quality of the design and construction projects. Knowledge of skills and techniques to direct and coordinate consultants, contractors, clients, and material resources at all phases of design and construction building projects. How to apply

Job# 85133 Bachelors degree in Architecture or related field and a minimum of 5 years project management experience; or an Associates Degree in Architecture or related field and a minimum of 7 years project management experience required. Experience with all facets of design and construction projects, plus excellent written/oral communication, interpersonal, organizational, analytical and computer skills required. Knowledge of construction project sequencing, terminology, documentation, processes, and procedures. Must have the knowledge, skills and techniques to direct and coordinate consultants, contractors, end users and materials through all stages of construction projects. Knowledge of Building Codes, Facility Guidelines Institute, and Hospital procedures and guidelines. NYS License in Architecture or Engineering. Familiarity with State University of New York (SUNY) procurement guidelines. Experience in a contract and/or procurement environment. Leadership skills. Familiarity with Microsoft Project or other scheduling software preferred. EOE
