About BHB:

BHB began with a simple mission: to build a better experience for our clients. All too often, clients have a less than optimal experience working with their builders. We set out to change that—one relationship at a time.

Overview: We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support our growing team. This role plays a key part in coordinating and executing construction projects, ensuring that deliverables are met on time and within budget, while fostering strong relationships with internal and external partners.

Responsibilities:

Support Project Managers in the daily management of active projects.

Assist with estimating, bidding, and subcontractor buyouts as needed.

Prepare and maintain submittals and submittal logs, ensuring timely reviews and approvals.

Review project specifications and assist with scope development for subcontracts (Exhibit B) and enumerations (Exhibit A).

Help secure necessary permits from local, state, and federal agencies.

Maintain project documentation including meeting minutes, schedules, change orders, punch lists, and close-out materials.

Work with the PM and Superintendent to update and distribute project schedules.

Assist with BIM/MEP coordination and procurement schedules; monitor long-lead items and supplier timelines.

Attend job site and coordination meetings; represent the PM when necessary.

Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to manage compliance, documentation, and performance expectations.

Provide administrative support including report preparation, document control, and data entry in Procore.

Develop positive relationships with clients, design teams, and subcontractors through timely communication and professionalism.

Support the PM in change management and cost control by obtaining pricing and assisting with owner and subcontractor change orders.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.

2-3 years of relevant construction experience.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with MS Project and Procore preferred.

Ability to read and interpret construction documents and perform quantity take-offs.

OSHA 10 certification required.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to quality.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Willingness to travel to job sites within a 50-mile radius of Boston.
