Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Examine and evaluate landing gear components to locate any damage
Read and interpret technical data and blueprints
Utilize various measuring equipment both manual and digital
Will use a computer or other electronic device, or manually write down measurements taken
Follow instructions per the component maintenance manuals (CMM)
Document work performed
Maintain an organized work space
May occasionally be required to work overtime including evenings or weekends as necessary to meet deadlines
Education And Experience
Must have at least two (2) years of experience working with calipers, bore gauges and micrometers
Minimum of two (2) years of previous mechanical maintenance experience. (Preferred: Previous aircraft technician and landing gear experience will be considered first)
High school diploma or an equivalent
Proficient in the English language
Skills And Abilities
Attention to detail
Basic arithmetic
Coordination
Critical thinking
Manual dexterity
Near vision
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Stand for extended periods of time
Arm-hand steadiness
Other Requirements
This position is safety sensitive and adheres to DOT drug and alcohol regulations
Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check
