Overview
FWI is building a team to support Puerto Rico Department of Housing (PRDOH) Communication Services program for the Community Development Block Grant for Disaster Recovery (CDBG-DR) and Community Development Block Grant for Mitigation (CDBG-MIT). The Strategic Planner will conduct research, monitor cultural and social trends, and provide clearly defined creative briefs that translate strategic direction into effective campaigns aligned with brand and communication objectives.

Work Schedule and Location : Hybrid — This full-time hybrid position will work Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with some onsite work in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Responsibilities
Conduct proper briefing for the creative team
Provide the creative team with a clearly defined brief containing concise information on the product, audience, and strategy
Commission research to inform the strategy using qualitative methods (focus group discussions, structured interviews) and quantitative methods (demographic profiling, questionnaires)
Responsible for the day-to-day management of all research relating to the brand and advertising
Monitor cultural and social trends, and their impact on consumers\' attitudes, behavior, and perceptions
Liaise with the client servicing team to ensure consumer attitudes and needs are considered at the beginning of the campaign
Provide input during creative development to ensure that the strategic direction is correctly translated into creative work
Provide elaborated strategies and planning implementation when pitching a campaign or proposal internally and to the client
Required Qualifications
Bachelor\'s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Management or Administration, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field
4+ years of experience in creative strategic planning
Track record of results developing and implementing creative initiatives and campaigns
Hands-on experience in planning at every stage of brand and communication strategy
Keen interest and experience in analyzing marketing problems, brand tracking research, and spotting opportunities to develop the brand
Work alongside the account management team and support in developing highly creative campaigns
Excellent verbal and writing skills in both Spanish and English
