We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold aircraft.
Quality Operations Specialist This team is located in Bell’s Plant 3 CDC Warehouse in Grand Prairie, TX and is responsible for the Quality Assurance (QA) activities and initiatives.
Oversees the coordination of Quality program responsibilities with internal and external customers, customer responses, investigation and resolution of program related problems that affect customers' aircraft/components or kits.
The position reports to the Senior Manager Civil Certification and interfaces directly with the Fort Worth Logistics Center management staff.
Responsibilities
Quality Program Planning and Management
Develop, calculate and report out on a variety of Quality metrics
Independently conduct process audits
Support Corrective Action and Continuous Improvement Process efforts
Utilize Quality Management Systems, Records, & Data
Collaborate with and support military and commercial customers
Develop quality inspection plans for all new commercial programs to ensure compliance with quality management system
Review and approve supplier First Article Inspection (FAI)
Manage customer-related root cause and corrective action (RCCA) activities to ensure timely and effective resolutions
Skills You Bring To this Role
Familiarity with AS9100 Quality Management System requirements
Demonstrated leadership skills, strong interpersonal skills, and comfort around management, customers, and regulatory authorities
Computer skills, including Microsoft, Excel, Word, Power Point, etc.
Project Management experience managing stakeholders’ needs and setting priorities
Six Sigma Green Belt certification or some other Continuous Improvement certification preferred
Experience with FAA 14 CFR Part 21 and 145 regulations preferred
Prior experience with Bell Quality tools and Bell systems related to day-to-day activities is a plus
What you need to be successful
4-Yr Degree such as BS/BA in, Business Administration, Industrial Technology/Management, Engineering or similar
At least 2+ years’ experience as a Quality Professional in the aerospace industry
Experience with SAP, Enovia, PowerBI dashboards, 3DX, Catia 6
Experience in detail and component manufacturing, metal and composite repairs and component assembly
Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, reports, procedures, and certifications
NOTE: Bell/Textron relocation assistance is NOT Available for this role
