Responsibilities
Oversee the Quality Assurance team, ensuring timely issuance of specifications, labels, and tools aligned with production schedules while maintaining updated procedures and documentation.
Update and audit Quality Assurance Procedures.
Coach, develop and perform performance evaluations of Quality Assurance Technicians.
Maintain Quality Assurance department payroll information in e-time (vacations, personal days, overtime, etc.).
Perform and document aging stock reviews.
Generate Non-conformance reports and follow up on ingredients placed on hold.
Update Quality Assurance tech schedules as needed and coordinate time off requests to ensure proper coverage based on operational needs.
Follow up on required Capability Analysis as per Quality Assurance Manager’s request.
Perform monthly internal audits in conjunction with Quality Assurance Manager.
Review GMPs and report findings.
Maintain and improve the quality, legality and safety of each product and the processes used in their manufacture; keep the assigned work area clean and report any potential contamination or suspicious activity.
Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum recognized Diploma in a Food related discipline.
Knowledge of American Institute of Baking (AIB) standards preferred.
Knowledge of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) required.
Minimum 3 years relevant experience in an automated food processing plant.
Bake ry experience preferred.
PCQI Certification preferred.
Ability to communicate in English and Spanish.
