The Role Our Global Freight & Logistics Shipping Manager is responsible for the global supply chain management of our Racing and Festival event apparel operations divisions, ensuring that goods and materials are moved, monitored, and managed. They oversee transportation, warehouse operations, inventory management, import and export processes, purchasing, production planning, and customer service. This role coordinates essential operations in our business and requires strong negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills. This is not a remote position.
Responsibilities
Manage respective supplier relationships and performance, including dispute resolution, supplier scorecards, and periodic business reviews
Lead cross-functional teams to manage project timelines, including action trackers and program management tools related to on-time delivery of supplier products against event timing
Communicate key supply, cost, and quality issues with management and develop corrective action plans to mitigate identified risks
Plan transportation and distribution routes
Partner with customs and freight forwarders to properly document and move freight to 22 countries
Import and Export Process Creation and Optimization
Direct fleets
Analyze freight budgets and billing
Process inbound and outbound shipments
Supervise warehouse functions
Create optimal receipt, dispatching, and storage procedures
Tracking and tracing orders
Manage inbound and outbound shipments and transportation documentation
Recruit, hire, train and onboard various team members as needed
Handle various special projects and tasks as needed
Qualifications
Must have global product shipping experience using freight forwarding companies
Clear experience in product shipping costing and global duties to EU, APAC and Middle East
Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management or equivalent experience
5+ years’ experience in global logistics management
Strong knowledge of international and domestic shipping regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements
Proven ability to optimize logistics and/or supply chain processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs
Exceptional ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, external partners, and lead a team
Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven operational improvements
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in logistics software and IT systems
Active problem solving with a sense of urgency for projects large and small
References demonstrating excellence in the role
Work Environment
Must be able to tolerate loud noise levels & busy environments
May work in drastic temperature climates
Must be willing to work during evening and weekend hours, as required, to meet deadlines
