Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Coordinate project and material handling from manufacturing to installation, including bagging & tagging, expediting, fabrication, and field logistics.

Check drawings and bill of materials produced in-house and by the GDC, using VDC procedures and standards.

Assist and provide comments on projects transferred to the GDC, and attend daily coordination meetings.

Enforce VDC PM Division procedures and policies.

Assist Sales with VDC Drawing Quotes.

Travel to job sites for measurements and customer interactions.

Participate in Lean implementation and Quality Improvement processes.

Prepare piping layout drawings, isometric drawings, spool sheets, and BOMs using Revit or similar software.

Conduct project reviews, meetings, and maintain customer contact.

Prepare and coordinate Basic Engineering Packages (BEP).

Update project status weekly and assist with project close-out.

Prepare Advanced BOMs and support customer care with material delivery info.

Review incoming projects and prepare VDC Drawing Quotes.

Assist departments like Estimating, Specification, and Software Development.

Advise Project Leaders on project milestones.

Assist in training Draftspersons, Trainees, and Interns.

Qualifications

Associate Degree in drafting technology or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

3-5 years of engineering/design experience, preferably in HVAC or Industrial piping.

Knowledge of piping specifications and pipe support experience is a plus.

Proficiency in Excel, Word, AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit or piping software is beneficial.

Ability to travel domestically and internationally (less than 5%).

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

Project management skills are preferred.

Additional Information Language Skills: English required.
