The Operations Manager manages all aspects of operations and production on a portfolio of maintenance accounts, reporting to the Branch Manager and managing a book of business at a minimum of $1 million. Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Support company vision, policies, procedures, safety/training programs, and pass along to other employees. Know each job’s specifications and ensure compliance with quality and efficiency standards. Work with management to map out seasonal work schedules; develop, communicate, and maintain schedules. Perform inspections of equipment and vehicles to ensure maintenance. Respond to client requests timely; manage operational issues and implement solutions. Manage budget and monitor job cost reports. Lead and train several teams; assist in hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance improvement. Train employees on safety, quality, equipment use. Work closely with Branch Manager to lead branch and meet monthly budgets. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Quality Control Audits, 90% or better. Safety Inspections, 100% complete; 90% passing or better. Contract Renewal 95% or better. Quality jobs completed on time within budgeted hours. Customer Surveys demonstrate favorable remarks. Equipment Inspections show that maintenance program is followed. Crews work safely and efficiently per company standards. Crew leaders work at a high level with accountability. Field best practices are understood & followed consistently. Employees developed per HR processes. Best practices followed for time tracking, purchase orders, scheduling. Education & Experience Qualifications
High school diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred. 2–5 years of supervisory/managerial experience, proven training and development skills. Knowledge of irrigation systems & turf management programs. Experience in Aspire Landscape Operating System preferred. Skills & Abilities
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, scheduling, multitasking. Exceptional problem solving. Independent work with high accountability. Strong interpersonal & communication skills; ability to communicate at all levels. Maintain confidentiality and trust with sensitive issues. Computer proficiency: Outlook, Word, Excel. Travel to client sites required; occasional training travel. Valid driver’s license with a clean record. Physical Requirements
Less than 10%: crawling, climbing poles, etc. Up to 33%: sitting, stooping, kneeling, etc. Up to 66%: standing, walking, reading, etc. 67%–100%: speaking clearly, seeing distant, hearing, etc. Benefits
