What you can expect as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician at West Star: Whether you are replacing or repairing parts, troubleshooting electrical/mechanical/hydraulic and pneumatic systems, or performing inspections on sophisticated civilian aircraft, no day is the same. Each day offers new experiences and opportunities for growth. Responsibilities
Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems Remove and install panels and components Troubleshoot and solve aircraft system and component issues Defuel aircraft Remove and install engines Operate ground support equipment Inspect and evaluate aircraft and components Move aircraft and assist with performance runs and taxiing Maintain and repair shop facilities, equipment, and tooling Use basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management Education and Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent Airframe and Powerplant License required valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or valid passport is ideal but not mandatory Your Initiative
We’re looking for team players who are self-motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment with deadlines and time constraints. Your Sense Of Responsibility
Attend work as scheduled, including overtime and weekend assignments Notify supervisor in advance of any inability to work Maintain reliable transportation to attend work daily Perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines Follow all company and safety rules during duties Maintain customer-oriented work habits Employment Details
