Our 2nd shift schedule is Monday-Thursday, 3:30pm - 1:30am. The shift incentive includes a 10% -15% premium, paid lunch, 3 day weekends, formal airframe training and eligibility to transfer to 1st shift after 3 years.

What you can expect as an Aircraft Maintenance Technician at West Star Whether you are replacing or repairing parts, troubleshooting electrical/mechanical/hydraulic and pneumatic systems or performing inspections on some of the most sophisticated civilian aircraft in the world, no day is the same. What is the same, is that each day will bring new experiences and opportunities for growth.
You Will Be ESSENTIAL To Many FUNCTIONS Including
Performing general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
Removal and installation of panels and components
Troubleshooting and problem solving aircraft system/component issues
De-fueling aircraft
Engine removal/installations
Operating ground support equipment
Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components
Aircraft movement and assistance in performance runs/ taxiing
Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling
Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases
Any other job‑related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
Your Education High school diploma or equivalent. A valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or a valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.
Your Experience AMT I
Airframe or Powerplant license is required. Airframe license is preferred.
0-2 years of experience in aviation maintenance, avionics, or similar.
Technicians have limited to moderate knowledge of general maintenance aspects.
Technicians require close supervision of general maintenance tasks.
AMT II
Airframe or Powerplant license is required. Airframe license is preferred.
2-4 years of experience working in aviation maintenance.
Experience working on corporate aircraft is preferred but not essential.
Technicians have considerable knowledge of the job and general maintenance aspects.
Technicians require general supervision on routine maintenance and more detailed instruction for new or special assignments.
AMT III
Airframe license is required; in addition, Powerplant license is highly preferred.
4-6+ years’ experience in aviation maintenance.
Experience working on corporate aircraft is highly preferred but not essential.
Technicians have full knowledge of general, detailed, and special assignments in aircraft maintenance.
AMT IV (Master)
Airframe and Powerplant license is required.
6+ years’ experience in aviation maintenance.
Must have extensive experience on corporate aircraft platforms.
Subject matter expert in all areas of the job.
Your Initiative We’re looking for team players who are self‑motivated and able to perform in a fast-paced environment where working under specific deadlines and time constraints will be common.
Your Sense Of Responsibility
Attend work every day as scheduled to include overtime and weekend assignments.
Notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work.
Must have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day.
Perform all work in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration guidelines.
Follow all company and safety rules during performance of duties.
Maintain customer-oriented work habits.
