Supervisor, Supply Chain – Seneca Battery at BorgWarner. This role involves leading global/regional commodity strategies, driving cost reductions, and managing a small team within the supply chain function. Responsibilities
40% - Lead the development and management of global/regional commodity strategies to leverage BW collective purchasing power and optimize supplier performance, aiming to reduce total supply costs while meeting technology expectations throughout the supply chain. Provide global leadership in communication, implementation, coordination, and enforcement of commodity strategies. Develop supplier capabilities to meet BW requirements. Provide guidance and approval of basic supplier agreements. 10% - Provide leadership to Launch Readiness issues; develop and implement business process improvements. 10% - Ensure commodity plan deliverables meet designed strategies; coordinate supplier relationships with internal functions (e.g., troubleshooting); deliver budget, forecasts and long-range plans for their area of responsibility; develop and implement location-specific strategies and commodity forecasts. 10% - Negotiate key supplier contracts. 5% - Direct current production issues. 20% - Develop strategies and actions to achieve budgeted cost reductions; ensure cost and performance objectives align with existing strategies. 5% - Career development and training; oversee/manage a small team of direct reports; conduct performance reviews and lead talent development. Knowledge/Skills
Supervise a group of mid or senior level purchasing professionals. Strong functional and technical skills. Additional Information
Travel is occasionally required, up to 5% of the time. Safety and Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or equivalent is highly preferred. Minimum 10 years of experience. Ability to supervise mid or senior level purchasing professionals. Strong functional and technical skills. Ability to travel 50% of the time. Proficient in English. University diploma in related discipline or equivalent experience. Ability to provide functional leadership. C.P.M. Certified Purchasing Manager is a preferred certification. Salary Range
