Primary Location: United States (US) - Wisconsin - Horicon
Position: Electrical Machine Maintenance Employee Location: John Deere Horicon Works, Horicon, WI
Job Responsibilities:
Lay out, install, modify, and maintain complex electrical circuits and electronic equipment.
Diagnose and remedy electrical problems with a focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.
Work from wiring diagrams, schematic drawings, prints, sketches, and verbal instructions.
Plan work sequences, select materials and tools.
Establish distribution centers, balance loads, wire circuits with multiple units.
Locate and fix electrical issues, including working on high-voltage circuits.
Install and maintain motors, generators, lights, transformers, switches, control panels, and other electrical equipment.
Support team members and work independently.
Maintain a clean work area and perform miscellaneous duties.
Work shifts (based on seniority).
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years old.
High School Diploma or G.E.D., or equivalent military experience.
National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) or at least 3 years of manufacturing experience.
Electrical journeyperson’s card or 8+ years of industrial electrical maintenance experience.
Thorough knowledge of electrical safety codes.
Ability to perform manual tasks including standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
Willingness to work overtime, including weekends.
