Valence Surface Technologies is a full-service surface finishing company specializing in the commercial aerospace, defense, space and satellite industries. With ten strategically located sites across the United States, Valence provides a start to finish solution from NDT and chemical processing, to paint and sub-assembly.
Position Summary:
Responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations to ensure production goals are met safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards. Position will support the weekend shift, Friday thru Sunday days.
Responsibilities
Prioritize and manage workflow to ensuretimely processing of workand achievement of production deadlines.
Supervise team members by clearly communicatingjob duties,performance expectations, andaccountability standards.
Monitor and document employeeperformance,attendance,productivity, andquality of work.
Assign tasks to appropriately trained employees, ensuring alignment with skill sets and operational needs.
Ensure theaccuracy and qualityof all output produced within the department.
Promote and maintain asafe work environment, promptly reporting any safety concerns to theHealth and Safety team.
Oversee themaintenance and functionality of equipment, ensuring all tools and machinery are in good working order.
Provide leadership byinstructing, motivating, and guidingemployees; initiatemerit increasesorprogressive disciplinary actionswhen appropriate.
Maintain high standards ofcleanliness and organization(housekeeping) in all work areas.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of3–5 years of supervisory experiencein a manufacturing or production environment. Strong understanding ofmanufacturing processes,quality standards, andsafety regulations(including OSHA compliance). Excellentleadership,communication, andinterpersonal skills. Ability toprioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and adapt to changing production needs. Proficient in usingproduction management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools. Strongproblem-solvinganddecision-makingabilities under pressure.
