Quality Assurance Product Coordinator
FoodMatch is a producer and importer of Mediterranean specialty foods with a focus on olives, antipasti, and ingredients. Founded in 1996, FoodMatch plays an integral role in ensuring the quality of our products.

New York, NY
Responsibilities
Collect, review, and approve specifications for new products from suppliers.
Assist suppliers with packaging, labeling, coding, and related needs.
Review current product specifications per protocol.
Save, file, and organize product documentation received from partners.
Handle specification and product related customer requests.
Create and update spec sheets, ensuring labels match specifications.
Partner with Marketing on label creation for new items, ensuring FDA/regulatory compliance.
Manage enrollment and compliance of claims and certifications (non‑GMO, gluten‑free, vegan, etc.).
Create nutritional panels using supplier or lab data.
Manage customer portals, uploading specifications and documentation.
Manage cold‑chain validation program and annual carrier audits, reporting results.
Lead weekly reviews with the Sampling Team and maintain records.
Set up and document tasting of potential or competitive products.
Monitor and test products with quality issues; test new‑crop samples; travel to facilities as needed.
Conduct in‑house shelf‑life studies.
Review supplier quality reports and production records to identify lots requiring review.
Arrange shipping and testing of quality‑concern samples.
Assist in investigations of customer‑reported quality issues.
Visit warehouses to collect samples or investigate issues.
Qualifications
BS or STEM degree (preferred).
At least 2 years of experience in quality assurance or food production.
At least 2 years of experience in product development or project management.
Understanding of SSOPs, GMPs and HACCP/PCQI training or certification (preferred).
Strong problem‑solving and communication skills.
Skills & Abilities
Fast‑paced, high‑pressure work environment.
Excellent organization and attention to detail.
Ability to lift and move up to 40 lbs.
Ability to adjust priorities quickly and handle unexpected requests.
Passion for food and eagerness to learn our product line.
Location & Travel Hybrid role: 4 days in office, 1 remote day. Minimal travel required.

Salary : $110,000.00–$125,000.00 (based on experience and qualifications)
