The Opportunity A global professional services association seeks a
Corporate Compliance Analyst
to join their team on a long-term, temporary basis. The position is hybrid in New York City (three days onsite, two days remote) with an hourly rate of $35‑$40 plus benefits.
Primary Duties The
Temporary Corporate Compliance Analyst
will support the global legal and compliance operations. Reporting directly to the Deputy General Counsel for Compliance, this role contributes to the development, implementation, and oversight of compliance programs and policies. The team delivers legal guidance, risk management, and training to the company's internal stakeholders, volunteers, and third parties. Strong analytical thinking, collaborative problem‑solving, and proactive project management are key to the role. Additional duties include the following:
Support the development and oversight of the company's sanctions compliance program, ensuring alignment with U.S. and global regulatory requirements.
Maintain and improve the company's third‑party sanctions screening tools, including monitoring rules and risk thresholds.
Perform internal and external due diligence to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Collaborate with internal and external legal counsel on trade and export control compliance matters.
Drive continuous improvement efforts in sanctions compliance in partnership with Legal & Compliance, Finance & Administration, and other departments.
Manage a docket of internal requests related to due diligence screenings and respond via the compliance case management system.
Contribute to various legal and compliance initiatives across the organization.
Perform related duties and participate in ad hoc projects as assigned.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
0–3 years of experience in legal, compliance, ethics, or internal audit roles within an international organization, law firm, government, or non‑profit.
JD, CCEP, CRCM, LPEC, or similar legal/compliance credentials (completed or in progress).
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage time effectively and work independently.
Team‑oriented with a collaborative mindset.
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, etc.).
