STV seeks an experienced and motivated

Transportation Planning Engineering Specialist

to lead support multi-disciplinary teams in successfully delivering transportation infrastructure projects. This position would be based out of our

Owings Mills, MD

location. Under supervision of the Maryland Transit Administration’s (MTA) Director of Maryland Area Regional Commuter (MARC), this position will provide program oversight and evaluation of operating budgets for the $25 Million Amtrak-Maryland Capital Program. This position will collaborate with the Northeast Corridor Commission as a member of the NEC Cost Allocation and Capital Working Groups. This position will actively participate in the coordination and communication that ensures consistent reporting amongst the FRA, NECC, Amtrak, and various MTA interagency departments. This position will represent MARC during project meetings and site visits; will collaborate with MTA and Amtrak in the development, processing, and monitoring of project schedules and costs; and will reconcile accounting & billing issues.

Responsibilities

Leading, managing, and overseeing multi-disciplinary transportation teams to deliver transit projects.

Planning, designing, developing, and delivering capital infrastructure projects for local and regional transit and transportation clients.

Participating in teams identifying, pursuing, and securing work with key clients.

Building and strengthening relationships with clients, agencies, and project partners.

Preparing fee proposals, negotiating with clients, and reviewing contracts.

Serving as the primary client liaison and managing project teams to successfully deliver projects within the established scopes, schedules, and budgets.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Transportation Planning or Accounting is required.

Experience working with MTA, Amtrak, FRA, NECC, a plus

Experience with Passenger Rail Investment and Improvement Act (PRIIA 2012) and cost allocation may be required

A minimum of 3 or more years of relevant planning, design, and project management experience on transit infrastructure projects is preferred.

Compensation $68,554.21 - $91,405.62
