Tesoro Group is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join one of our long-term clients team at two properties in New Hope MN (55428) and Minneapolis MN (55248). The ideal candidate will have 2 years experience in residential maintenance, experience with unit turns, knowledge of basic maintenance, be self-motivated, be able to organize multiple tasks throughout the day, and be self-sufficient. Will have experience with boilers (boilers license highly preferred). This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion). This role will be working with two affordable housing properties: Site 1: built in income restricted units / 3 stories. Site 2: built in 1967, 87 income restricted units / 3 stories. Salary :
$26-$30 / hour DOQ - This role is contract to hire (90 days before conversion). Schedule :
Monday Friday 8:30am - 5pm; must be available for apartment turns. No on-call requirements during the contracted period. Responsibilities and Job Duties
Provide a variety of skilled building maintenance including repairs to sinks, windows, floors and other parts of the building. Maintain the grounds as assigned which may include trash pick-up, shoveling and sweeping curb / dumpster area, maintaining landscape beds and other areas. Preparation of vacant units for occupancy which may include cleaning responsibilities. Install, repair (including soldering) and maintain various plumbing; heating and air conditioning fixtures; perform metal fabrication and welding. Installation and repair of major and minor appliances (e.g. washer, dryer, refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwashers, etc.). Troubleshoot maintenance issues, diagnose problems, replace and/or repair parts, test and make necessary adjustments to ensure issues are resolved. Provide emergency / unscheduled repairs as needed. Complete minor work orders such as snake toilets / drains, repair / replace leaking faucets, remove / replace caulking, replace different components of toilets, adjust / replace door closures and replace locks (deadbolts and passage locks). Always demonstrate courteous and efficient customer service. Qualifications and Experience
2 years experience in residential maintenance. Boilers experience is required; certification is highly preferred. Be able to pass a background check. Experience with boilers (boilers license required). Have a valid driver's license and valid auto insurance as this role will be roving between properties.
