Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic Location: Lake Odessa Pay: Starting: $18.50/hr Shift: M-F: 6 am - 2:30 pm

Job Summary The Maintenance Mechanic assists in diagnosing and repairing equipment, performing building maintenance, and supporting preventive maintenance tasks to ensure efficient operations. This role requires adherence to safety protocols, and GMPs, participation in continuous improvement initiatives, and collaboration with the maintenance team to enhance workplace efficiency and reliability.

Responsibilities

Assist maintenance technicians in equipment and building repairs, including roofing, wall repair, siding, and window replacement.

Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to optimize equipment performance.

Conduct machinery and system inspections to identify maintenance needs.

Maintain and organize tools and equipment to ensure proper functionality.

Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.

Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and yard lifts safely.

Perform fabrication and welding (ARC, TIG, MIG) for various structures and equipment.

Maintain cleanliness of work areas after maintenance tasks.

Troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues.

Learn to operate and set up bean room equipment.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Key Qualifications

Must be able to speak, read and write in English.

Basic knowledge and skills in mechanical and building maintenance.

Must have own tools and the ability to read prints and manuals.

Flexible availability, including different shifts, nights, and weekends as needed.

Skills

Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.

Welding and fabrication experience (ARC, TIG, MIG).

Prior experience operating industrial lifts (forklift, scissor lift, yard lift).

Familiarity with troubleshooting equipment and machinery.

Basic electrical knowledge.
