Responsibilities
Achieve manufacturing objectives across safety, quality, cost, and delivery metrics. Maintain a safe and compliant work environment through:
Implementation of safe work practices Ongoing employee safety awareness 5S and housekeeping initiatives Layered safety audits and closure of identified issues
Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement
Ensure strict adherence to SPI’s Lean Manufacturing System (SLMS), including:
One-for-One Production KanBan Systems Root Cause Problem Solving (PPS)
Production Planning and Management
Oversee and utilize manufacturing planning tools such as:
Molding GPE Workbook Paint GPE Workbook Assembly ADCALC Workbook
Conduct monthly reviews to ensure:
Proper staffing levels aligned with standard allowances Equipment loading and capacity meet production targets Molding and Paint areas are properly planned and maintained
Team Leadership and Development
Train and mentor department managers and supervisors. Oversee training programs for hourly employees. Partner with HR and department leadership in disciplinary processes as needed. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Lead collaboration across plant departments to optimize overall operations. Ensure compliance with SPI systems, procedures, and standards including:
IATF 16949 (Quality Management)
New Product and Pre-Launch Activities
Support new product introductions through:
Training of production employees Molding, painting, and assembly pre-production runs Identification and communication of issues
Employee Engagement
Maintain a strong floor presence and regularly engage with all shifts. Participate in quarterly employee shift meetings. Perform other related duties as assigned. Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 4 years of manufacturing experience,
or 6 years of experience in a technical or management role within a manufacturing environment. Skills and Abilities
Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze limited data and make sound judgments. Proven experience in
plastic injection molding, painting, and automotive assembly processes . Commitment to complete all post-hire training requirements. Seniority level
