Location: Perryville and Ste Genevieve, Missouri

Position type: Full Time, Exempt

Work hours: 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m. Monday–Friday (five 8‑hour days, subject to change to offer evening flexibility or four 10‑hour days; details provided during interview)

Base Pay: $42,000 – $50,000 per year (dependent on licensure, certifications, and relevant experience)

The Job

You would be responsible for providing individual and group counseling for substance use for clients enrolled in SUD and our SOR/MAT program. The SUD Counselor will provide counseling to clients being seen in our gambling program. The counselor will ensure the highest level of care is provided using stage‑wise treatment and maintain compliance with Community Counseling Center policies and procedures.

Essential Functions

Facilitate counseling and education groups.

Provide education to family members of SUD consumers.

Provide overdose education to clients and their families.

Conduct individual counseling for clients enrolled in the SUD, SOR/MATS, and Gambling programs.

Offer coverage for the ITCD program as needed.

Make appropriate referrals within Community Counseling Center and outside the agency.

Transport clients using agency or personal vehicle as required.

Attend ITCD multi‑disciplinary team meetings.

Document according to clinical policies, DMH, CARF, and other federal or state standards.

Non Essential Functions

Maintain confidentiality regarding client and personnel matters.

Maintain compliance with all policies and procedures.

Complete all required training.

Work cooperatively with other departments and community members.

Participate in all required meetings as directed by supervisor.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Must meet the Division of Behavioral Health's definition of Qualified Addiction Professional (QAP).

A Qualified Mental Health Professional.

A credential recognized by the MO Credentialing Board, including but not limited to CADC, CRADC, CRAADC, CCJP, CCDP, CCDP‑D, RADC‑P, or RADC.

CPR/FA certification.

Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
