Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist with proven Paycom experience to manage payroll operations for our growing organization with 300+ employees. This role ensures accurate, timely payroll processing, compliance, and reporting in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities
Process bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll for 300+ employees using Paycom, including wage calculations, deductions, garnishments, and tax withholdings.
Maintain employee records, verify timesheets, and resolve discrepancies to ensure compliance with federal/state regulations (e.g., FLSA, ACA).
Generate payroll reports, reconciliations, and analyses for management, including year-end W-2s and 1099s.
Support new hire onboarding, benefits enrollment, and offboarding in Paycom, collaborating with HR on policy updates.
Conduct audits, troubleshoot issues, and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Assist with quarterly tax filings, unemployment claims, and ad-hoc payroll projects.
Qualifications
Experience: 3+ years in payroll processing, with hands‑on expertise in Paycom for mid‑size companies (300+ employees); multi‑state payroll knowledge preferred.
Education: Associate's degree in Accounting, HR, or related field; CPP or similar certification a plus.
Skills:
Strong proficiency in Paycom for payroll administration, reporting, and integrations.
Knowledge of payroll laws, tax compliance, and GAAP principles.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills in a team setting.
