Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Newark, NJ
A full‑time Speech‑Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to support K‑12 students in a school setting located in Newark, NJ. This contract position starts as soon as possible, with an anticipated end date of June 19, 2026. The role involves working with a diverse caseload, which will be discussed in detail during the interview process.
Responsibilities
Conduct speech and language evaluations for students across K‑12 grades
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech and language disorders
Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student communication goals
Provide supervision and mentorship for Clinical Fellows (CFs), ensuring their professional development and compliance with certification requirements
Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in accordance with school policies and standards
Participate in meetings, consultations, and professional development opportunities as needed
Qualifications
Certification of Clinical Competence in Speech‑Language Pathology (SLP‑CCC) preferred; new Clinical Fellows eligible and supervision provided
Experience in school‑based speech‑language pathology is highly desirable
Pediatric or healthcare‑related speech‑language pathology experience a plus
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Ability to tailor therapy approaches to meet diverse student needs
Interview availability is flexible with slots open on Thursday and Friday of this week, as well as throughout the next week.
