The firm seeks an exceptional Vice President to join their Industrials investment banking team in New York City. This role offers immediate and significant client exposure, substantial transaction leadership responsibility, and a clear path to Managing Director. The position provides the entrepreneurial autonomy and partnership typical of elite advisory platforms, where Vice Presidents are treated as senior deal leaders rather than execution managers. Key Responsibilities
Transaction Leadership & Execution
Lead end-to-end execution on complex M&A transactions, carve-outs, and strategic advisory assignments Navigate and coach sophisticated financial analyses including valuation, modeling, and scenario planning across various transaction structures Conduct comprehensive strategic analysis on clients, competitors, and sector dynamics Manage critical deal workstreams from pitch through closing Coordinate seamlessly across legal, accounting, and other advisory partners Client Interaction & Relationship Management
Interface regularly with client senior executives including CEOs, CFOs, and Board members Generate and manage completion of compelling client presentations and strategic materials Serve as trusted advisor by developing deep understanding of client strategic objectives Build credibility through technical excellence, strategic insight, and discretion Contribute to business development efforts and sector coverage initiatives Team Leadership & Development
Provide guidance, mentorship, and supervision to Associates and Analysts Lead internal deal teams ensuring excellence in execution and client service Contribute to positive team culture and firm intellectual capital Support recruiting efforts and help shape team development Help prepare for key industry events and conferences hosted by the firm Required Qualifications
At least 3+ years of investment banking experience (M&A experience strongly preferred) Meaningful exposure to and demonstrated passion for the Industrials sector Exceptional financial modeling skills and quantitative capabilities with meticulous attention to detail Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with proven C-suite presentation experience Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex transactions and projects simultaneously Proven leadership capabilities and commitment to team development Bachelor's degree from a top-tier university with top academic performance Comfort operating in unstructured, fast-paced environment that values initiative, creativity, maturity, and poise Strong team player mentality with motivation to contribute to collaborative culture Preferred Qualifications
MBA or advanced degree from leading institution Experience across multiple industrials subsectors and transaction types Background covering activism defense, restructuring, or strategic advisory assignments Technical expertise in complex deal structures and creative solutions Multi-cycle market experience Track record of mentoring and developing junior bankers Compensation & Benefits
