Job Summary
RAM Construction Services is seeking a detail‑oriented, proactive Estimator/Project Manager to join our Weatherproofing Division. This dual‑role position combines technical estimating expertise with hands‑on project management. The ideal candidate will prepare accurate cost estimates, analyze project specifications, research materials and systems, and manage all phases of waterproofing projects—from preconstruction through closeout. Success requires strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving capabilities, and a deep understanding of waterproofing systems and construction practices.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Estimate and manage commercial construction projects from start to finish
Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to develop accurate cost estimates
Analyze and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to accurately estimate material, labor, and equipment costs
Prepare take‑offs, scope of work, and bid packages for commercial construction projects
Communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to obtain quotes
Analyze bid results and prepare detailed proposals and cost estimates for clients
Monitor project progress, communicate with clients, subcontractors, and project team members to ensure project goals are met
Coordinate and manage all projects and activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and quality control
Ensure that project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and project reports, is completed accurately and on time
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in construction management or a related field
3‑5 years of experience in commercial construction, preferably in waterproofing or restoration
Proven experience in estimating and managing construction projects from start to finish
Proficiency in reading blueprints, specifications, and technical documents
Ability to budget, schedule, negotiate, and control costs
Strong leadership and management skills
Travel
Travel to and from job sites is required. RAM will compensate for travel expenses if applicable.
Work Environment
Office and job site/field setting, including exposure to seasonal temperatures, high spaces, small spaces, loud and frequent noises, standing/walking up to 12 hours a day, indoor/outdoor settings, and proximity to traffic.
Physical Demands
Reading, depth perception, fine motor skills
Standing, walking, occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
Staying clear and hearing within speech range, color vision
