Required Qualifications
One year’s recent experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech
Current BLS (AHA/ARC) certification
ARRT, RCES, or RCIS certification
Current ACLS (AHA/ARC) certification
Preferred Qualifications
Valid Radiologic Technologist license in compliance with state regulations
PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certifications
Other certifications and licenses that may be required for this position
Essential Work Functions
Prepare and position patients for cardiac catheterization and related interventional procedures
Assist physicians during procedures by passing catheters, wires, balloons, and stents, and operating fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring equipment
Operate and maintain imaging equipment, contrast injectors, and hemodynamic monitoring systems
Scrub in and assist with sterile field setup, ensuring adherence to infection control and procedural protocols
Perform sheath removal and hemostasis using manual compression or closure devices as directed
Maintain accurate documentation including patient records, imaging data, and equipment logs
Assist with inventory management and stocking supplies
Adhere to radiation safety, hospital policies, and regulatory requirements
Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice
Required Essential Skills
Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills
Read, write, and communicate in English
Follow written and verbal instructions; proficient PC skills
Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lb), push, pull, and bend
Work effectively with diverse personnel, maintain a positive attitude, and professionalism
Fine motor skills for procedure assistance and departmental equipment use
Maintain focus under pressure and irregular schedules; strong attention to detail
Good visual acuity and effective communication
