The organization is experiencing exciting growth and is seeking a Corporate Controller to join its leadership team. This role offers a high-visibility opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the company’s financial operations and strategic direction.
The Corporate Controller will oversee all aspects of accounting and financial reporting for the company, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all accounting functions. This role will manage a talented accounting team and collaborate closely with executive leadership, providing insights that drive informed business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee all accounting functions, including Joint Interest Billing (JIB), Revenue, Operational Accounting, Corporate Accunting, and Financial Reporting Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant regulatory requirements Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes Manage internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures Provide financial insights and analysis to support business strategy and performance Coordinate annual audits and work closely with external auditors Mentor, develop, and lead accounting staff to foster a culture of accountability and growth Partner with operations and executive teams to support ongoing business initiatives and acquisitions Qualifications
CPA license (active) required 10+ years of progressive accounting experience in the oil and gas industry, with upstream focus preferred Strong understanding of JIB, revenue, and operational accounting processes Public accounting experience highly preferred Proven leadership and team management experience Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills Proficiency with industry accounting systems and ERP platforms Seniority Level
