Connecting Civil Engineering professionals across Mid-Atlantic Harper Harrison are proud to be supporting a respected multi-disciplinary engineering firm in Raleigh as they look to strengthen their Civil Site team with a Site Civil Project Engineer who brings a strong stormwater background and a collaborative, team-focused mindset.
This role sits within an established and growing practice that delivers site development, minor roadway, grading, drainage, storm water and erosion control design for a mix of municipal, public sector, and private clients across the Carolinas. It offers hands‑on responsibility, genuine variety, and the chance to contribute to local, impactful community projects.
Responsibilities
Supporting projects from preliminary due diligence through to close‑out
Designing site, utility, grading, drainage, stormwater management, erosion control, and roadway components
Preparing construction plans, design computations, project manuals and technical specifications
Obtaining required permits and coordinating with internal teams across multiple disciplines
Engaging with clients, land developers, permitting authorities, and regulatory agencies
Assisting with bidding and construction administration activities
Contributing to innovative stormwater solutions and local community development projects
Qualifications
Degree in Civil Engineering or related field (ABET accredited)
3 to 7 years of experience in consulting engineering
NC PE license or ability to obtain within 12 months
Strong stormwater, grading, drainage and erosion control design experience
Proficient with Microsoft Office and AutoCAD Civil 3D
Confident managing multiple deadlines, communicating with stakeholders, and producing high quality engineering deliverables
