Recruitment Consultant, Finance & Accounting Our client, a boutique Private Family Office, is seeking to hire a Manager of Individual Tax based in Hunt Valley, MD. The firm specializes in tax compliance and strategic planning for high‑net‑worth individuals with complex investment portfolios. This role offers the chance to work closely with seasoned professionals on intricate tax matters involving hedge funds, PE/VC investments, QSBS, crypto, and multistate/offshore structures. Responsibilities
Lead the preparation and review of individual, trust, and foundation tax filings, particularly for clients with intricate investment holdings.
Provide guidance on transactions involving private equity, venture capital, real estate, hedge funds, and ownership in fund management entities.
Mentor and manage team members, ensuring accountability through regular check‑ins and performance tracking.
Conduct tax research and deliver consultative insights on estate planning, philanthropic strategies, and family office structures.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of services.
Collaborate across levels to support a proactive and thoughtful approach to tax advisory.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CPA‑track preferred.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in tax or accounting, ideally with exposure to family office environments.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to navigate complex investment structures.
High proficiency in Excel and tax/accounting software; meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent communication and client service skills, with a proactive and solutions‑oriented mindset.
Comfortable managing multiple priorities and delivering under tight deadlines.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities and a commitment to continuous improvement.
