Senior Cost Estimator – Dallas, TX

Interview Process:

Description We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Cost Estimator to join our Dallas office. The ideal candidate will be detail‑oriented, persistent, and organized, with a proven track record of consistency, strong follow‑up, and professionalism. This role requires flexibility to thrive in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining commitment to excellence, integrity, and results.
Responsibilities
Prepare full estimates on complex projects, including civil, MEP, and architectural scopes.
Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, project managers, and subcontractors to resolve technical matters during planning, development, negotiation, and contract execution.
Ensure proper subcontractor coverage on bid day and transmit addenda and bid information to subcontractors.
Submit 100% of bids and budgets by the deadline without exceptions.
Show creativity and resourcefulness to gain competitive pricing from subcontractors.
Perform all stages of estimating, including project selection, organization, take‑off, pricing, review, and closeout.
Estimate time, materials, and equipment required for job completion.
Manage Cost Estimators and Cost Estimating Interns.
Collaborate with project management teams to follow up on bids and budgets to successfully close business.
Work with varying levels of design (schematic, development, and construction documents), takeoff spreadsheets, and engineering reports to prepare accurate cost estimates.
Utilize estimating software such as e4Clicks and RSMeans to support cost estimate development.
Qualifications
7–10 years of experience in civil, MEP, and architectural cost estimating.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management.
Professional certification such as CCEA®, PCEA®, or American Society of Professional Estimators required.
Proficiency with E4Clicks and/or RSMeans software.
Strong communication skills and experience working with tools such as SharePoint, Teams, Asana, and Zoom.
Demonstrated success in managing subcontractor relationships and ensuring timely bid submissions.
