This position does not support teleworking ; the selected candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in: Sunnyvale CA or Littleton CO and be expected to work in the office full-time.

What does this role look like? The Digital and Analog Talent Center is looking for an experienced
Responsible Engineer/Certified Principal Engineer (CPE)
to oversee the design, development, test and integration of digital electronics systems.
This role is a critical one that will build your skills and knowledge in technical disciplines required to design and realize a complex digital product.
At the same time, you will leverage technical leadership principles to ensure that your team is successful in ensuring that the delivered product meets all customer specifications and meets or exceeds the needs of our customers.
Key activities you will accomplish in this role:
Digital products include digital processing, software defined radio, command & data handling, controls & avionics, and any other digital systems that are utilized on Lockheed Martin space or missile systems.
The critical skills utilized in this role will include experience in FPGA and/or ASIC design, Circuit Card Assembly (CCA) design, Embedded Software, FPGA Gateware, Systems Engineering/Requirements Management, Systems Integration & Test, Guidance Navigation & Control, and Electrical Engineering.
To be effective in this role, you will need:
Experience in a Responsible Engineer / Product Lead role for analog and digital electronics.
Experience working with Subcontractors and sub-tier suppliers.
Familiarity with other engineering processes, disciplines and Subject Matter Experts.
Familiarity with processes on failure investigation (root cause analysis, Failure Review Boards, etc.).
Experience supporting the technical evaluation of design and requirements verification.
Experience in different phases of aerospace electronic component development cycle.
Experience interacting with peers, management and government customers.
Proficiency in presentations and in written communications.
9+ years of professional experience with a Bachelor's, 7+ years with a Masters degree or 4+ years with a PhD.
While no clearance is needed to start this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a
Secret clearance , thus
US Citizenship
is required.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
Electronics and/or software background.
Experience in development of Analog or Digital Electronic circuitry.
Experience as a Responsible Engineer of analog and/or digital electronics.
Desired Skills:
Masters or PhD in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
Experience leading technical teams.
Experience developing products for space or missile applications.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: Annual base salary range for this position varies by state: $118,700 - $209,300 in selected states, $136,500 - $236,555 in major metropolitan areas. Salary range will reflect candidate location. Incentive plan eligible.
