Business Development Manager

responsible for expanding our presence in the acoustic panel and specialty insulation industries. The ideal candidate has technical knowledge of manufacturing solutions, strong sales and client‑relationship skills, and a proven ability to close deals.

Reports to the General Manager. May occasionally travel domestically to customers or trade shows.

Job Specific Responsibilities

Identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities.

Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and company growth goals.

Build and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with customers, partners, and industry contacts.

Conduct client meetings, presentations, and negotiations to secure new contracts.

Identify key industry trends and analyze market, competitor, and customer insights to inform business strategy.

Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, production, and operations) to align customer needs with capabilities.

Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and sales activities in CRM systems.

Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities.

Prepare and deliver proposals, quotes, and contracts to prospective clients.

Report on sales metrics, pipeline activity, and market insights to leadership.

Qualifications / Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a closely related field.

2+ years of experience in business development, project management, or B2B sales in manufacturing.

Excellent technical skills with MS Office and other relevant programs.

Ability to identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities within the manufacturing sector for acoustics and insulation products.

Experience developing and executing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.

Strong relationship‑building and communication skills.

Proficiency in maintaining CRM records and reporting sales metrics.

Preferred Skills

Experience with ERP systems (SAP, NetSuite, or similar).

Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma concepts.

Prior experience in architectural acoustics panels is a huge plus.

Schedule

Full‑time, 5:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (10‑hour shift)

Mon – Thu; Fri, Sat, Sun off

In‑office position – Tempe, AZ (near Priest and University)

Environment / Physical Demands The candidate will work in an office with multiple occupants, attend virtual team meetings, and meet customers in person as needed. Standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers will be used regularly. Occasional travel to our Chandler facility for training and meetings may be required. Noise level is typically quiet to moderate.

Salary: $149,491 – $249,000 (Tempe, AZ).
