Event Security Officer - OC
Position Summary: This position is responsible for providing labor support for various positions supported by the Support Operations department.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Performs cashiering functions during events in various departments including Cashiering Operations, Events, Food and Beverage, Retail and Transportation
Performs Food and Beverage jobs including Attendant, Houseperson, Host and Server
Performs as a member of Events Security to provide service and safety to our guests
Performs Transportation jobs including Valet Dispatcher, Traffic Controller and Coat Room Attendant
Performs company jobs in Events, Promotions, Marketing, Human Resources and Sports and Entertainment
Secondary Duties And Responsibilities
Delivers outstanding guest service with a friendly, positive and helpful attitude
Develops the appropriate job knowledge and task mastery of assigned positions
Ability to make sound judgments and decisions within department guidelines
Works closely with department supervisors and managers to assist with daily activities
Maintains the safety and security of patrons, performers and tour personnel throughout the property
Communicates in a clear, concise and professional manner in verbal, written and radio communications
Prepares, sorts, keeps count and arranges inventory for gift distributions
Uses computer software to register guests in a quick and professional manner
Executes principle of SMART; detection of false identification
Directs vehicular traffic in parking lots and garages throughout the property
Minimum Education And Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must be able to effectively communicate in English
Thorough knowledge of point of sale system and cash handling accuracy
Previous customer service experience or experience dealing with the public
Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable through the company rider
Competencies
Good communication skills
Good organizational and multi-tasking skills
Friendly, positive and outgoing personality
Training Requirements
Varies depending on job assignment
Knowledge of department policies and procedures
Knowledge of the property and its offerings
Knowledge of the arena’s emergency evacuation plan
Physical Demands And Work Environment
Must be able to work in a high energy environment with smoke, loud noises and low lighting
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs for extended periods of time
Must be able to work outside in various weather conditions
Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
