Responsibilities
Performs Jackpot payouts up to and including $25,000
Generates, reviews and submits all requisite documents and reports
Responsible for the maintenance of key control and the Slot Dispatch offices
Safeguards against theft and ensures the security and integrity of all casino property and Tribal assets
Interacts with supporting departments to maintain the overall floor operation within an assigned area according to established department, company, tribal and state gaming policies and procedures
Enforces all departmental, Tribal, State and IRS gaming requirements
Communicates information within the department regarding all special event functions, entertainment, restaurant schedules, etc.
Monitors progressive slot machines and jackpot amounts for accuracy
Monitors the slot data system for proper operation and accuracy, including player ratings and exceptions
Documents and reports the daily activities of the shift
Communicates directly with the Slot Operations Management to report the daily operations and any conflicts requiring resolutions
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities
Provides training to Slot Operations Team Members when assigned by management
Attends and participates in company approved training sessions as assigned
Assists in safeguarding against theft to ensure the security and integrity of all Tribal assets
Keeps abreast of new slot technology pertaining to Slot Operations
Assists the Slot Operations Shift Managers and above, as needed
Minimum Education and Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
One year of experience as a Slot Operations Attendant
Must possess basic math skills, strong cash handling, keyboard/keypad data entry skills and a functional ability to read, write and understand English
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal and multi-tasking skills and the ability to delegate tasks
Basic knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Competencies
Ability to provide clear, concise reports containing accurate and detailed information
Proficient knowledge of Slot Operations ACSC reporting
Ability to identify areas on the gaming floor by slot zone and the ability to communicate slot machine features and game play
Familiar with Mohegan Sun property amenities and all ongoing promotions
Thorough understanding of the Mohegan Tribal Employment Rights Ordinance (TERO) as it relates to employment
Training Requirements
Must complete all assigned departmental and company trainings
Department training/improvement courses
Compliance E-learning courses
Company sponsored training (i.e. CTR/CARC training/certification) Understanding of Mohegan Sun’s Time and Attendance Systems
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Must be able to work in a casino environment with smoke, loud noises and low lighting
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
Must be physically able to access, service and operate all required equipment on the casino floor
Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
Must be able to use an “in ear” communication device
Must be able to work various hours and flexible shifts
